I'm soloing an Elven Thief Mage in SoA. Took a break before leaving for Spellhold to do Watcher's Keep. I have come up on the experience cap already - 23rd level mage/30th level thief (if I recall correctly). Now I don't mind that they have a cap of 8 million experience points... but as a multi-class character that means I am limited to 4 million apiece. (laughing at myself for bitching about this)
Part of the reason I soloed was to see what kind of damage a 30+ level mage/40th level theif could do. Now I feel cheated. Yes, I know, I can use Shadowkeeper to alter my character's levels and spells and such... but that really sucks. Plus, I can't add any more high level abilities (I know, I tried) with additional levels. Anyone have any suggestions, or am I SOL? |

8MXp not enough?
Go to baldurdash ( http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/ ) and download the ToB cap remover. But really, 8MXp, thats enough for anybody... Oh and you _can_ add the activated high level abilities with shadowkeeper, under the innates tab (you may need the newest version). That covers Whirlwinds and suchlike. Permanents youd have to add uner the effects tab (good luck, but www.teambg.com may have some info to make this easier). And finaly, the level 10/quest level spells can be added via the Wizard/Priest tabs, same as normal spells.

Yeah, I know... 4 million experience for each IS pretty powerful.. my little elven hottie is a handful =) But I wanted to get a few more of those high-level powers and spells before going through ToB.
Maybe next time I'll dual-class a human thief to mage instead. |

IIRC in The Darkest Day the experience cap is 20M, I'm not sure, though. But I'm thinking about uninstalling TDD because it's buggy. But I wouldn't like to lose the XP cap. Does anyone know what is the max XP if you use XP Cap remover in SoA?

personally, I don't like the cap... if you earn XP, you earn XP.
Never had a character too close to the cap, though.
