Ok, I have a few questions concerning this:
1) how do I link area's to each other? 2) how do I change the voices that NPC's have? 3) how do I make an NPC that will join your party? 4) how do I make an NPC give you exp when completeing a quest 5) how do I MAKE a quest?! Lots of questions, so as you can see I'm clueless. The instruction manual is too vague to be of any help.

Bioware has a reasonably good tutorial to teach you the basics. It's available at http://nwn.bioware.com/builders/modtutorial.html

1: Once you have the two exits in the areas then in their properties you can edit them and link them to each other.
2 and 3: I would also like to know this one. 4 and 5: there is supposed to be a quest creator thingie which lets you create each step of a quest. |

3. Check the module builders henchman kit on the NWVault I think people liked this one or the NWN lexicon which has an extensive tutorial on making henchman. 4. Learn to script. www.nwnlexicon.com 5. Learn to script as the quest editor is only very basic. I don't know if you realise but creating a module is a hell of a lot work. You shouldn't underestimate it. You often need to work like a lot of times as long on an area as you're in it ingame if you want to make it look good. Plan good at the start cause it'll make you see you're making progress as you won't finish it otherwise. |

My best advice to you would be to fool around. Fool around with everything! Also, I found it useful to look at the campaign mod to help me out where some scripts are concerned... Alignment shifts, healing (like Aribeth) in a temple, EXP, all of it is there... I like to look at dialogue, take note of what basic scripts are used ("Let's see... When you ask her to heal you, it uses X script which I can just pick from a list in my mod...). Also, the NWN vault has some VERY handy ready-made scripts ripe for the taking.

Basically, you can only get to chapters you've beaten. Go to Open and look for it there... I haven't done the campaigns on this computer so I can't walk you through it exactly.

In the nwn folder there's a folder with chapter1.nwm or something. Change the name to chapter1.mod and copy them to your modules folder. You can open them with the toolset
