Ouch, decided not to. I would have to redo quite a bit of playing, hit the cap early!

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but when I installed the XP cap remover all that happeneed was that my character got all the XP that he missed out on, in one go, regardless of where he was in the game

Are you saying that the XP cap remover will award retroactive XP? I presume this would be possible. Let's say you've reached the cap, the game would still "flag" anything you've done questwise. And then could award the quest XP. But I don't think it will award any random monster encounter XP.

But... not wanting to give any spoilers, but there is a quest later in the game that if you do in a certain way makes you lose some xp. Well, the thing is if you reached the cap, and cross it, then the xp loss does take into consideration the xp you gained after reaching the cap... so say you gain 10000 xp after reaching cap, then lose 10000 because of quest, your xp still remains at the cap level.
Not sure if it takes into consideration quest xp only or all xp...

As far as I know all xp is awarded after the xp cap has been put on, it worked for me in BG and in IWD

[/QUOTE]If Xander is correct and the game "awards retroactive experience" then it's probable that, although the game informs you that your XP is at the cap, it's "secretly" keeping track of how much you've actually accumulated and not displaying it. Install the cap, and boom. Level up.
This is just a hypothesis.

Got the mod to work finally, and quickly went up a few levels and started more trouble in town. Will be heading out to Brynlaw soon, as soon as I tire of killing Anmish guards and Cowled wizards.

Yeah, I remember hitting the cap in BG1 and installing the remover a bit later...all in my party leveled up upon loading the game without the cap. I really love that sound!
