hey all, hows things?

I got my adsl modem, and now I'm getting fast downloads and surfing. Except my counterstike is completely screwed up now, and I cant play it.

I'm going out to buy another copy this afternoon, to reinstall (im getting a new one because ive been using my friends one for over a year).

Anyway, have a good weekend all, I'll be a bit more active around here now that its sooooo much faster. [img]smile.gif[/img] [img]smile.gif[/img]

Sounds good, Scholarcs. I just use a 56K modem myself and don't have a problem.

Don't I wish I could get anything other than my dial-up!!!

I use a local service provider, which works and then dosent... whatever it feels like. To make matters worse I have a 56k modem which runs (get this) EXACTLY like a 26k modem!!!

I guess thats what I get for living where there is no civilization for miles around! well not miles... more like down the road... where they have cable... and therefore........ ROAD RUNNER!!!!!
AAAAGGGGHH!!!!! I want it! I want it! I want it! Too bad I don't have a bloddy cable line!

(Sir Mandorallen starts muttering)stupid friends.... all live down the road.... get a broadband connection....

hey galadria and sir mandorallien! Get dsl!

it is soo much faster, and doesnt continuously disconnect when you are trying to use it. Also, you can use the phone and the net at the same time!

Nope, sorry, cant. I know how good it is, and I want that too... but you have to be X distance away from the nearest server to get it and... the nearest server is about 5 miles to far away! My only other choice is a satilite connection through my dish. But that costs fifty dollars a month while what I have now costs about fifteen. Its way too much money to pay. Roadrunner is alot, but it is less than the satilite connection.
