Some of these are really funny.

BLAMESTORMING - sitting around in a group, discussing why a deadline
was missed or a project failed, and deciding who was responsible.

SEAGULL MANAGER - a manager who flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps
on everything, then leaves.

ASSMOSIS - the process by which some people seem to absorb success
and advancement by kissing up to the boss rather than working hard.

SALMON DAY - the experience of spending an entire day swimming
upstream only to get screwed and die in the end.

CUBE FARM - an office filled with cubicles.

PRAIRIE DOGGING - when someone curses or drops something in a cube
farm, and people's heads pop up over the walls to see what's
happening.

MOUSE POTATO - clearly the new generation's answer to the couch
potato.

SITCOMs - Single Income, Two Children, Oppressive Mortgage - what
yuppies turn into when they have children and one stops working to
care for the kids.

STRESS PUPPY - a person who gets off on being stressed out and whiney.

SWIPEOUT - an ATM or credit card rendered useless because the
magnetic strip is worn off from extensive use.

XEROX SUBSIDY - euphemism for swiping free photocopies at work.

IRRITAINMENT - entertainment and media spectacles that are annoying
but somehow irresistible. Think O.J.

PERCUSSIVE MAINTENANCE - the fine art of whacking the crap out of an
electronic device to get it to work.

ADMINSPHERE - the rarefied organizational layers beginning just above
the rank and file. Decisions falling from the adminisphere are often
profoundly inappropriate or irrelevant to the problems they were
designed to solve.

404 - Someone who is clueless. Source of that one should be obvious
enough.

GENERICA - Latin for same old sh*t; in particular, the features of
the American landscape that are the same no matter where one is, ie,
fast food joints, strip malls, and subdivisions.

OHNOSECOND - that brief fraction of time in which you realize that
you've just made a big mistake.

CROP DUSTING - Surreptitiously farting while passing through a cube
farm, then enjoying the sounds of dismay and disgust; usu. leads to
Prairie Dogging.

I guess I'm 404 on that one, Micah, but the rest are pretty funny. Especially "Ohnosecond"- like the brief glimpse of your keys in the ignition before the car door slams, or the typo that you see one moment before the "Thank you for posting" window. And "percussive maintenance."

I can relate to a few of these! I think we all have salmon days and percussive maintenance around here when the adminishphere sends it's edicts down! HAHAHA!

Comes from the Web page that comes up when you try to go to a non-existing web page -- 404, page not found...
