I heard ages and ages ago about a mod that let you play BGSoA in a dragonlance setting, does anyone have any news about the mod? Is it any good to play?

Well, I've been thinking about modding lately, and doing extensive reading/searching/checking it out, and I have not seen such a mod, yet.
Man, there is alot of stuff out there though! I'll keep my eyes open for you.

I watched this one for a long time, always hoping it would be finished - unfortunately, it seems like the project is no more, but you can go to www.dragonlancetc.com to get the demo. The last news update on the site was January 2005.

Well, that was fun. So I download the demo, play it for a little bit, and get bored after two steps in the opening town where you get the shady solamnic knight chararcter in your party. Maybe I should have played a little bit longer, but I couldn't get the fact that it was a demo out of my head, so I knew it wouldn't last long. Well it might have been the openning introduction, that guy's voice was hilarious. So I want to play my game in SoA only to find I cant unless I unistall the demo, so I do that from the BG2 folder where the file says DLTCDemo unistall. Then to my great surprize and disdain, I find that SoA won't run after I click play. GREAT! Well its no big deal now that I re-installed SoA and ToB, and now in the process of re-installing all the mods I was using, which is the biggest hassle of all. In closing, I apologize for my rant and wish to thank anyone who read to the end of my post.
P.S. I won't let this experience darken my outlook on any future dragonlance game, as I like the dragonlance setting better than the forgotten realms setting.

one of the mod forums has the advice of doing a clean install - patching - fixpacking then takign a back up of your override folder to avoid continual re-installing
i've never done it of course but it sounds like a plan |

Too bad it was abandoned, it sounds cool.
