Hi to all and thanks for your greetings !

Blademaster - nice to meet you btw - I applied for ISDN with DSL two weeks ago, and am hoping to have ISDN by the end of the month. DSL is supposed to be installed by the first of June as well, but I seriously doubt that German Telecom will meet those deadlines. In general Melusine is right, telecommunication costs are still way higher in Europe than in the States, so that the costs really are a limiting factor for us "Old-Worlders", but in my case that fortunately won't be true anymore once I got DSL. Because with it comes one of the only two flatrate tariffs available in Germany (to my knowledge). But for now, operating on an old borrowed 14.4 modem, I have to limit my visits to almost zero: it took almost twenty minutes just to navigate through the site to this page ! But the mighty cow shall be back one day soon - hopefully.

Well, anyway, apart from that, I am fine and like my new flat/area.

Take care and have fun here !

Thank you, Cloudy, for playing the messenger for me !

------------------
So long !

R³ - new, much improved signature under construction !

I'm good. I'm in Galway Ireland at the mo. Loving the music, the sights, and the people. How's the new house? Everything settled?

Boy you sure are one Travellin Man aren't you? I read a post of yours yesterday on another thread about that pub, you playing the drums, and some crotchety old man! How dare he tell you to shut op, I'd have told HIM to shut op, "no you shut op", "no you", "no you", err...okay, I suppose that wouldn't have worked very well, nevermind! So what are you doing in Ireland? Recording? Teaching? How long are you going to be there? Oh, and yes, I am all settled in, trying to get used to "city life" so to speak.

City life eh? I like citys, centres of human focus, arts and ideas that they are. Mind you the piece and quiet and sense of headclearing space the country can give is quite appealing also.

I'm having a look around. I like Galway a lot. I ended up having a sing last night. Met some musicians I could work with here if I ended up here for longer.

W'll see. I'm teaching/recording in Singapore all next month anyhow, so we'll see how things go.

Did you change jobs then? How far away are you from your old place?
