Take one level in Pally using Divine Grace to add your char. bonus to saves - sorted but wear no armor as your Sorc/Pally class. 5% failure actually equals around 15% if you make notes of your average fails vs. saves when attempting to cast a spell and do the calculations yourself (try it if you don't beleive me). so can you imagine 30% and up?
The 'Still Spell' feat is too costly IMHO. You're boosting every spell up more than it should be and casting at the cost of levels. Wear a robe/light armor, preferably sommat with a magical AC enhancement and/or Dex enhance.

If you are insistent on a good AC perhaps you should try a Wizard and roll for Imroved Expertise (a great feat when making a stand amidst the fray to cast spells - Int. prereq. required) although you would lose the Pally idea then. As an alternate you could boost your Int. even as a Sorc/Pally until you are able to take IE.
