Rex in mountain wilderness (I think)

There is a named Hogar in the Mountain wilderness. Why won't he talk to me? What do I do? Is he pissed I killed his harem or what?

Some named beings are not there to be talked to. You haven't met the one named after you yet?

Even though he won't talk to you, he's very docile and um...friendly.

What the frell?

Only remember meeting Rex once, and pretty sure I killed him. In what way is he friendly or helpful?

well,
if you let him, he'll follow you around like a puppy (must be lonely out there), and fight with you against any nasties you might meet.

If you happen to be low level when you get there, he can be really helpful. After all, he has a hell of a lot more hit points than you do.

I know I haven't offed him with my current party of 4 fairies, so I'll have to look him up before fighting those rapax that attack Anselm. Thanks!

Oh, has anyone else noticed some of the trang seem to keep dung beetles as pets, and they also join you in combat if they are in the area? I wonder if the trang will hostile if you target a pet...
