Spoiler

That dragon is soo weeeeak. I have a good alligned party, and after quick saving I decided to kill Adalon, just too see how strong she is. I sent Minsk, Jaheira (after casting insect swarm) and Keldorn to take her on (mele). I used Jan, Aerie and my Sorcerer to cast lower resistance. After 6 of those spells (two times with each character), I used finger of death, and the dragon died. I can do this to every dragon and it works. My party had lvl 12-15. And I believe you get a quest later from the mathron mother to kill Adalon if you'r evil...

I thought Lower Resistance wasn't supposed to stack? If it isn't, you're basically just profitting because of a bug...

I always thought it was stacking, and it is, or the world is tricking us.

"Lower Resistance" is cumulative...and it does say that in the manual as well. It may not be that way for PnP AD&D, but it is in BG2.

Dragons are very easily beaten in BG2 if you only remember that all of them (except the one that is in the elvish village) do not nome until you make a first move, or do not move at all if you do no enter the first time in their visual range. I destroyed the black dragon with lots of traps and the red dragon with a wand of cloudkill.

If you play RPG with other human beings, you´ll notice how different the game is. Enemies do open doors to chase you, mages will try to leave a area with cloudkill instead of keep inside it miscasting magic all the time, dragons will use their worst attacks if they fell threatened and fly away if they fell they can die.

Dragons are too easy to kill...(sigh)... I'll try using some different strategies on them, and if those don't work, I'll return to lower resistance and finger of death. But the game is still the greatest, the whole Baldur's Gate series is the greatest!!!
