Sometimes I wonder...

actually, only 3/5 of us are moderators.

I think the other 2/5 are too quick tempered to ever become anything other than a demi-power.
We...I mean ...they may one day see the other side though...after all...
(like killing the others off, slowly, with poison sounds nice...hehe)

SOB.......

Gosh I hope not. I would hate to get to the point where I HAVE to go to the forum ... although if asked, I would be more than happy too ... (everyone secretly wishes for it, only a few are bold enough to actually ask...

It's important to remain cool in the face of attacks, and be able and willing to take decisive action when necessary without flying off the handle. It also helps to help others out...a LOT. I didn't get over 2000 posts by spamming! (Well, maybe a little... ) Most of those, though, were/are legitimate help posts over at Wizards & Warriors.

On the other hand, there are significant benefits to NOT being a moderator...you get pretty new stars every time you "level up"...er, that is, reach a new posting level, your title changes, and you can "hang out" without being ever watchful for miscreants.

Enjoy your status!
I don't know if I entirely agree with this ... yeah, the star thing is cool, but I know that the people on the top end are not here strickly for the stars. If it was, we were be bored silly by now. And I do think we as a community have to learn to watch out for each other here. You never know when a troll might slip past the moderators. I know there have been times where a well placed email has helped smooth over and problems here. So I think it is up to all of us to watch out for those deviants, it just up to the mods to handle it.
