I am a ranger and I read somewhere they could have permenent animal friends like Boo and I was playing earlier today and Minsc said that we should get me a Hamster or I might prefer an Iceweasel. Can I get an Animal Friend?

I think the only way you could have an animal friend is if you are a beastmaster ranger, and then since you can only have good alignment to be a ranger, you could only have either a faerie dragon for neutral or chaotic good or a pseudo-dragon for lawful good, the pseudos are the best because they can stun.
