My wife went to the dermatologist to get a prescription medicine to clear hormonal acne but the requisit was that it had to be a safe prescription for women who are able to get pregnant. The doctore assured her that this one wsa a safe one for maternal reasons,...but before she bought it and began taking it, she called her OBGYN. They said that the prescription she had been given was #2 of the top five most dangerous of acne clearing medicine, and that it would have killed or severly damaged the fetus!

So,,,never trust just one doctor for major important decisions.. That is why it is called a practice.

Larry, if that medication was Accutane, then there is a huge "Black Box" warning in the FDA information sheet that pregnant women shouldn't even touch the capsules Thank God that you got a second opinion. BTW, I'm sure the pharmacist should have known, also.

I had the same problem, I got too high of a dosage. The bad thing was, I didn't need the medication. It is very scarey.

Oops...Why do I always do that?

My wife is not pregnant. I worded my phrase wrong.

The deal is if she was to get pregnant while on that level two medication, then that would be trouble. The name of the medication is Monodae, the generic version of monodoxin.

You know, Larry, you could sue that first doctor, for giving you false advice...
