Bioware
45 minutes left on the countdown posted to their website. It's a lead-in to an Epic Community Event, whatever that means. Get your refresh buttons ready.

Re: Bioware
It's a fan appreciation promotion called the Bioware Bazaar. Collect tokens through challenges and then bid on auction items. Don't know what the challenges are; this is their 15th anniversary celebration.
Edit - just looked at the prizes list, some really cool stuff. Now the question is - save tokens to bid on the computers, where there's bound to be big competition, or go all out on the smaller stuff (posters, art) with higher chance of success? Or is that what most people will do???

Re: Bioware
Funny side result of Bioware's "Community Event" - only people in the US are eligible. This has led to a proliferation of sigs that read "I used to be part of the community, now I'm just Canadian/Dutch/Polish/etc."

Re: Bioware
the auctions have started and there is some crazy bidding so far. I'm guessing that people are really excited and feel they need to overbid to get something immediately, despite the fact that new items pop up every fifteen minutes for the next few days. If anyone wants to add to my token count, feel free to click on the shamelessly added link below:

Re: Bioware
I assume just click on it gets you the tokens? In which case, you're welcome.

Re: Bioware
Thanks for the click. I'm really far behind most people in token count, I guess I'm not good enough at spamming the link. I'm not sure if this makes me a winner or a loser.

Re: Bioware
The auctions end tomorrow. It's been an interesting social experiment as people on Bioware's forums express various forms of outrage and frustration including posts like "everyone with lots of points is a cheater!" to "bioware sucks because I'm not winning!" I bet there's a psychology grad student taking lots of notes for a research paper on this.
As an aside - I could use more points, click if you're feeling generous: http://social.bioware.com/brc/1343390
