Just had to share that. "New" is in quotes because it's actually a 1995 Mercury Cougar, previously owned by my wife's mother, who has now got herself a brand new car.

I'm thrilled. I've been tooling around in a 1988 Cadillac Cimarron "clunker" for the past year (actually 3 years, but this past year is when it decided to downgrade it's status to "clunker"). It stalls at sudden stops, can't hold gears worth sh**, and I'm terrified to drive it anywhere outside of Denton. So the Cougar is GREAT, especially since it's in excellent condition. It's also been in the family, so I know its history.

I go pick it up on Friday. Whoohoo!!!

Hey Saz me old mate,

This Cougar you're getting - I hope it is a BIG car. Like, I know you could double for Hagar the Horrible (big viking type - avast, it's Bloodbeard ), and, of course, you are TEXAN.

Dis is a gunna haveta be one humungeous sized Cougar!!!!!
