Never smoked. My Father smoked all of his life and died of cancer 5 years ago. My Mother smoked from the age of 16 until she gave up 7 years ago. Unfortunately the damage had been done and she died of cancer in March of this year.

I used to be really against smoking, but I now accept that some really do need it. I still haven't taken up the habit.

Non-smoker, nasty habbit....don't like it at all.

Edit: Since everyone is posting, I will say, Lost one grand father and one grand mother to smoking...lost the other Granfather to Bacon Grease sandwichs and a massive coronary and my last grandmother to a Hotdog induced coronary....I am still not for banning smoking, bacon grease or hotdogs...though I do wish I had had one last chance to spend a summer with my one grandmother with my kids (the hotdog grandma. I loved her a lot)

Yes, since I was 18. I smoke about half a pack daily. My plan is to quit when I reach 40 unless... *cough* *cough* *cough*

I went through a phase when I was about 16 of smoking for a while but then stopped. It's far too expensive and I don't want lung cancer any time soon...

Never smoked and never will. I'm funny in that I don't like throwing money down the toilet or smelling like an ashtray all the time . LOL I love the earnest futileness of smokers putting on perfume or aftershave, or spritzing mouth freshener after a cigarette. Yeah that's the only place it smells
