I finally found my way out of the Shrine, killed the pirate. Did a little exploring and my Priest, who has the restore health spell is insane.

I tried to go back to Roon and when I get to the impaling room and press the button instead of exiting I fall into the pit.

This is my first post and I do really like the game. Is this a bug or is there something I need to do?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the board, Makron!!!

I hope you saved your game just before (or close) to where you push the button. It SHOULD work but I seem to recall others also having problems with this button from time to time.

If by try try trying again, you still can't get the button to work correctly, you can build a ladder out of crates and chests or you can try Vanish.

I'll go do a search and see if I turn something else up on this too.

Oh yes - do you have CALL OF HOME?? That would take you back to Brimloch Roon too.

If you don't have COH yet, get it!

Off to search!

Last time I tried, Wyv, Call of Home only worked outdoors. Does it work indoors as well?

Call of Home works only outdoors. You cannot teleport away from a dungeon this way.
As far as the button is considered, it has never betrayed me. My only recommendation is: go back to the button, save the game there and try again. Let us hope, the button will work now.

Welcome to the board Makron.

I have been the victim of this conspiracy as well. A reload usually does the trick.

It would be interesting to research this further. Could it be the same as in the Serpent temple? Clicking the button twice?

Nice to have you with us, Makron. Hope to hear a lot from you in the future.

If you run and jump so close to the edge as you possibly can, you should be able to reach the other side of the pit. Perhaps this only works with characters who have high level agility and athletics???

I find I get better distance on jumping if I'm looking upwards. Not at the sky, necessarily, but somewhere around a 45 degree angle up. Helps in the chain and pathway pool in Shurugeon Castle, and in the wooden stick room in the Boogre Caves.
