LMAO! Ehh never thought of that. And I wouldn´t dream of flaming you Attalus. Even though you constantly talk down my beloved W&W forum.

I guess some people in this thread haven´t thought about people with modems? How long do you think it takes them to read a thread with 30 2-liner posts and then thrice as much sigs? And that some believe they would get yelled at for posting their sig twice in a thread? Come on guys, are we members of the same forum?

johnny & bob, STAY ON TARGE.. Ehh, TOPIC
I use a dial-up modem at home and long threads with numerous sigs don't take any longer to pull up than long threads without sigs. OK, maybe a "little" longer - but not enough to notice.

The text does load quicker than the sigs, so I'll go ahead and start reading the responses while the pics are still pulling up.

The only problem I have with any sigs are the ones mentioned before that seem to have tons of text below the picture. Ziroc has addressed this and it seems to have improved.

I fully realize my sig pushes the limits on sig size with the large picture and 4 lines of text (which I think is the limit allowed) - but I'm sure most of you have also noticed it is nigh impossible for me to say anything in two lines or less.

My understanding of it was that he was banned after this, to stop him coming back. At least, thats why I thought he had the "Banned Troll" avatar for a while.

Anyway, I promised to not harp on about this. We're dragging this thread off topic.
You must have misunderstood, then, Barry. I saw his request to have his account removed. He posted his intent quite clearly on the board. Got to say though, I find it odd that you'd even post this here since you are a member in other places he still belongs to and can simply contact him, yourself, for any details you didn't catch. Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

I don't have issues with dial-up so I can't add to what Cerek or others posted in that respect but I do agree that monster text sigs are just as bad as a pic and text for making one have to scroll. But since the sig limits have been in place, I haven't had much problem with that.

Well, I use sigs to identify people...but I guess I could succumb to the new rule.
