Sometimes when brushing your teeth in the morning, your mind wanders and you remember things that have been long forgotten.
This thread is intended to be a place to post things that have been all but forgotten. It can be about TV shows, food, toys, cars.....anything that no one can recall, but when mentioned brings back happy memories. This morning I thought about a kid show that all my friends and siblings loved. It was called Boomtown. I can't remember the details, but it was run by Rex Trailer. Luckily, I found a link. So if your interested or just barely remember it, look here: http://www.rextrailer.com/the_show.html I know it was broadcast in Boston and I wonder if it was shown anywhere else. I realize this may not be known by anyone else! Post something special to you and see if others remember! Mark |

Everyone knows what Kool-Aid is (I think), but in the '60s and '70s there was a competitive product produced by Pillsbury called Funny Face Drink Mix. Some of my favorite flavors were: Goofy Grape Jolly Olly Orange Loudmouth Lime And Rootin' Tootin' Raspberry Some names were changed - at one time there was Chinese Cherry = Choo Choo Cherry and Injun Orange became Jolly Olly Orange, maybe because of them being racially insulting? There were many more! http://theimaginaryworld.com/ffads.html http://www.bigredtoybox.com/articles/funfacindex.shtml Anyone else fondly remember these drinks? Mark |

Ha, I remember Howdy Doody, Pinky Lee, and Ding Dong School. I also remember the button back in the '60s, "Nostalgia isn't what it used to be."

Ok.
How about a car that I always wanted since I was a kid? The Opel GT. I always thought it looked like a miniature Corvette. I even thought it was built by GM (duh). Don Adams drove one as Maxwell Smart on the TV show Get Smart. It was a very neat little car! Take a look at some of the videos at this site (the ones that work, anyway ) http://clubs.hemmings.com/oana/library.html Mark |

The most enjoyed xmas present I ever gave was to my brother,I found a guy online who traded me a set of tapes of every dungeons and dragons cartoon for a photocopy of the movie script of the D&D movie I bought on ebay about 4 years ago.Of course I loved the cartoon so much I had to make myself a set as well.
