Say you have a fighter with Strengh 18/19 what's the second value (19)? And what should you hope for, meaning the second value, when creating a new fighter?

Hi there, well the second number is from the Pen and pare roleplaying and it was made to give fighters an edge over most other classes but in the computer games everyone can hve it, and it is a value of the supremes power so to say, the higher the number the better it is, its lowest is 01 and the highest is 00 so a character with 18/00 is the strongest there is for an unmodified human. After that it is 19, 20 and so on again.
The 18 strength gives added to hit Thac0 and damage and are valued in 4 ranges, 01-50, 51-75, 76-99 and then 18/00 Well hopefully i cleared out something for you! Howl with me! Santa is eating to much porrifge this year! |

Don't overlook that strength bonus. Between a strength value of eight and fifteen a character gains no privelages (except being able to carry more). Below eight you get a penalty to hit and damage and above fifteen you get a bonus, like so:
Strength: To Hit Bonus: Damage Bonus: 16 0 +1 17 +1 +1 18 +1 +2 18/01-50 +1 +3 18/51-75 +2 +3 18/76-90 +2 +4 18/91-99 +2 +5 18/00 +3 +6 The bonuses you get are very substantial. The chance of rolling an 18/91+, however, is very rare. Best I've ever gotten was an 18/92, but the total roll was below 80, so I disregarded it. |
