Funny you mention Icehouse, I have a fridgeful! I was joking about the rafter thing lol, I'm a framing contractor. But we dont use trusses much for the houses we do

Currently a 3000 sf spec house plus garage. Stick-built roof, its a fairly tough one.Especially with the peices of paper I have that are optimistically called plans. And I'd be happy to help anyone out with regards to framing or anything else

Same problem here Larry: No grounded outlets in this 1960's style raised ranch.

This summer I plan on getting the place re-wired. Any pointers on the sorts of questions to ask a contractor? Any short cuts I can do myself (I can replace an outlet without too much trouble)?
