I also cannot wait to play the tired old republican "patriot" card when anyone badmouths the president of the united states. I have never done it, but seen it done time and time again on TV, in the news and on the web. Can't wait to try my hand at calling people traitors and american-haters!

It's called a neologism mate. A new word. They're invented all the time.... irregardless of whether they make sense or not Language is a constantly changing thing!

Though I do agree with you. It contains a silly double negative which should go home..

Well, that is just wrong. But by that logic, how do you frigerate something? I mean, the refrigerator obviously does it once it's been done before, and keeps it that way, but there's nothing to initially frigerate it...

The biggest immediate challenge Obama will face is to manage expectations. Expectations are sky-high right now and I think many people, not just in the US but outside the US, expect him to just wave a magic wand and fix everything immediately. It's not going to happen that way - it will take time. Hopefully people realise this.

So you're saying all of America's woes won't be fixed in January?

Not this one, nor the next. And just remember that if/when they're fixed he will still only have been a part of that. He's just one man, albeit a very powerful man post January 09. Fixing problems, whether in America or worldwide, is down to each and every one of us.

So get your finger out and start doing your bit

Not sure it came across, but my comment was in parody of what people seem to expect of Obama.
