Hi All
I am having a problem with the fellow outside the Snake Temple Every time I get near him the game crashes !!! What I want to know is this Can I kill him for his key or can I get it someplace else???? ------------------ T H A N K S Eiz [This message has been edited by Mr-Eiz (edited 04-30-2001).] |

Kol will give you the key if you talk to him long enough (and ask about Kerah). If he's become antagonistic then you might try killing him for the key. Note: he's one of the "faders" in the game so you'll have to do significant immediate damage before he disappears.

If you do kill Kol outside Serpent Temple, does he still pop up in Dragonspire? Just curious.

I tried to kill Kol outside the temple. First I stole the key from him (just in case) and then hacked at him. He blocked every attempt. I then tried blasting him with high level magic but no go. He was immune. He then ran off. He still talked to me in Dragon Spire, so there was no major harm done, but I couldn't even hit him.
I do know that if you kill Grue Morde in the beginning of the game (not an easy task) that a)Gareth never dies, but you never see him again, and b)He shows up again outside of the Dragon Spire and you get to kill him again. My guess is that if you did kill Kol, you could watch him get killed again by the Dragon. Of course, that brings up some interesting questions. Do they really die when you kill them? Is it possible to cast Rebirth on a monster? It is possible to ressurect your party members after they die, so is someone secretly bringing your enemies to the temple to be resurected? If so, are some of them just avoiding you? Which of the temples are secretly working for Lord Cet? Knarfling. ------------------ Only two of my personalites have delusions, but one of them is paranoid and the other is out to get him. |

To get the key you need to ask "Key" and not "Kerah".

What is your hardware/OS/memory ? are you running in software mode? Wyv |
