Here's one country that might be surprising, Belgium . No seriously, we did beat France in a friendly game recently. Actually, i'll be happy if we get in the second round.
As for favourites. France and Argentina.

nobody here who thinks italy can go a long way ? Or how about germany, every time people don't give them any chances, they rise to the occasion. I wouldn't be surprised if they become the new worldchampions.

Italy and Germany are always contenders. So is England and Brazil. they probably will go a long way but i don't think they'll win it. Their teams don't compare to the French or Argentine sides. Just mho.

Since I live in Italy I can tell you that the Italians are pretty sure for their success!
As for Germany...It is difficult for a team to do well when there is a complete lack of talented players.I mean no offense to Germans-I am a fan of the German squand myself-but I don't think they have a chance of going far.

Actually espn's head for international sports ( who is fun Ireland) picked Italy to win it. The next best team to win he said would be out of Nigeria, Brazil or Argentina. However, he felt that since they are all on the same side of the draw that Italy would have an easier go of making to th efinal game. Unfortuantly, he also stated that England is to beat up and will not make it out of their zgroup. Sorry guys.
