I have really enjoyed Medieval Total War and fighting through hundreds of years of bloody conflict. The wide range of factions and sodiers has kept me hooked for ages but now I'm looking for a knew challenge! Viking Invasion has been out for some time and I have read the reviews and all that but does anybody have a personal resopnce to share?

Yeah, not very innovating. Of course you have new units and buidings, but it's the same old same old if you catch my drift. Not that i didn't enjoy ravaging the British isles, but i really thought the huge campaigns in the original game had much more to offer, like fighting in the snow, in the desert, in the mountains, in grasslands, you name it. and of course there was a much larger variety in units. But for an addon it's okay i guess.

What i'm really waiting for however is the next game in line: Rome-total war. If you have seen some of the screenshots you'll know exactly why.

yeh Rome-total war does look really good. ALthough I have play Medieval Total War quite a bit (great game) I personally am still stuck in the dark age with Shogun (havent played it for a year at least though Id say) so I may splash out the cash for Rome!

Rome Total War looks amazing but my PC would never be able to run it. It looks like another campaign in Europe is on the cards.
