As I said in another post, I rushed into rescuing Imoen before I was really ready. Namely, before I completed most of the quests in Chapters I, II, and III. I paid for my lack of preparedness in the Underdark, but I did survive. Back in Athkatla, I was tying up loose ends at Maevars in the docks, and Nalia and Aeria started asking (complaining) about low we were sinking to do his seedy quests, and how low would we go to rescue my friend! Duh! She's standing right next to you, you two idiots!
Funny stuff...obviously I was supposed to have done this stuff already. The benefit is that the mini-quests in Athkatla are remarkably easy now. |

i sorta found a similar bug, when i sided with Bodhi and killed Aran Linvail before doing the quest for Mae Var. Edwin still thinks I am working of Linvail when i chopped his head of already. pretty funny hehe

I guess the game just expects you to do some of the quests in a certain specified order. The programmers probably want your party to build more experience from the earlier sub-quests before tackling the main one.
