Well actually some of us vets didn't have to suffer it cos it was introduced after I passed the 1500 post mark hahahhaa

since the avatars are all pretty random anyway, it'd be cool to get a new one regularly, even after 5000 posts, I mean since you can put almost any picture in as an avatar. I mean you could even use one of the pictures of me from Stealthy's if you wanted to scare newbies off but nah, people'd all wanna have the avatar of me

You mean "The One--Eyed Turd?" Ooh, I forgot about the Iron Throne Cult, Aelia. That was one of my favorites, too.

I also agree that the quintesson 500 post plateau is a bit much (that is essentially what it is, since you are stuck at the same level for so long). Just add one avatar right in the middle. Have the first 250 be a quintesson, then the next 250 be something else. Just to break it up a bit, and to prevent a whole bunch of quintessons all over the place (that's pretty much what I see while I'm reading posts; it gets boring seeing the same picture over and over again).

Hmmm...just be happy that not many of you lot had the "pleasure" of going through Stone Golem Hell - all five hundred posts of it. Made the Quintesson look like a Teddy Bear

ROTFL! GMTA, Mems, I was just going to post something like that!

Anyway, Z randomly changes the avatars so you could have one til you naturally reach the next level only to find the next level is something totally different. As some folk already said, they didn't have the ones people are complaining about now when they had as many posts. It's something Z likes to do now and then- shake up the avatars!

Larry... LOLOL....true, we just get HAMMERS of CHOC for ours!

Fate must be smiling on me... I missed both the Quintesson and Stone Golem stages and just had Emerald Dragon which I didn't mind at all. In fact Stone Golem is loads better than Quintesson as well.

Dunno, quite a few old regulars have "disappeared" e.g. Sazerac, Sir Tainly, RudeDawg, Accord. I was the other way around. I hardly posted in the first year I was here then started posting more and more.
