If only I was already alive to witness the golden days in Dutch cycling history, at the end of the seventies, with Zoetemelk's victory in 1980 as the absolute height. By the time I "discovered" cycling, even Breukink already had his best days behind him...
Yep, i saw Zoetemelk win the tour, man that's a long time ago, my grandfather was still alive in those days. He was a real "tour nut". He even went to France a couple of times, so he could see the action live !

I think that people will remember Erik Zabel if he wins his 7th(?) green jersey in a row.

I am! Woo, go Aussies! LOL Stuey's riding pretty well but he's being upstaged by all the others. I think Zabel said Baden was a revelation, McGee won a stage and hopefully McEwen will take the green jersey from Zabel today before they go into the mountains

We'll have to wait a few days I suppose. Let's just hope he'll survive the mountains.
btw, his Dutch is more fluent than that of many other native Dutchies. He even got rid of his Australian accent, and exchanged it for a Belgian accent...

Oh . I watch the highlights show at night since we don't get the actual stages televised so I didn't know what happened today... nevermind. After the mountains then
