I was watching an Evanescence video once and I noticed a thing under the playing video that said something to the effect of "play this video in HD". I notice that not all vids I watch have the option, and even watching the same video the next time, I did not see the link to HD where I was expecting to find it. I'm a bit confused by that.

I say its about bloody time! Should have had higher res from the beginning.. these small, blocky, compression settings they used just ruin videos...

Most Excellent, for those who watch those, the ones here are usually third rate C-class how to's, currently exploring band saw techniques, which are far from HD.

@yorik- yep it is!

@ v- Basically www.youtube.com now has HD quality movies. While it takes a bit to load, the quality is absolutely stunning.

@Larry, yeah I've noticed that too. Only a few videos have that setting (and sometimes you don't even see it. Because they also have a "high quality" setting" ) I had to go into my youtube settings and select the one that gave me the highest setting possible (and it showed up much more)

@Z : Yeah I agree they should have had that from the beginning. But it makes sense why they didn't, alot of other streaming sites like vimeo and crunchyroll had HD long before Youtube- but they're almost unheard of. Youtube being totally mainstream could be the reason they did it slowly. Can you imagine the bandwidth usage?

@Felix- huh?

You know, how to. Content = A (sometimes), Quality = C (most times).
