My boat is stuck on the southern shore of the Enchanted sea! Won't move in any direction. Is
this a bug or is it punish you for running aground? ANybody else have this problem and find a
way to get loose? Do I have to swim home and buy another? Is that even possible?

If you have the Create Portal and Teleport spells try this:

Leave the ship and swim into an open area of the sea.
Cast Create Portal.
Get on the ship and click on the wheel.
Cast Teleport.
Unfortunately you can only buy 1 ship at Brimloch Roon.

If you don't have these spells, it's possible Vanish will get your boat free.

I had that exact thing happen to me.
Good news, you don't need the boat to get on with the game.
If you want to use the boat, you will need the teleport, and create portal spell. Level 6 moon spell. Swim out a little bit, cast create portal, swim back to boat, take the helm, and cast teleport.
Good luck, and if you need help, you know where we are.

In stead of swimming you can always try surfing: just start swimming with your head tilted up and 'shift' pressed. You'll start bumping over the waves in no time.

Who needs a boat anyways, I found swimming just as fast, and I did not have to listen to all that creaking. I even out swam the sharks!! LOL

Carg & Lord Roberts: You are both right!

I can just forget about the boat and swim. Only problem is if I go back to town I can't jump on to the dock (not enough athletics?). I have to use "Return Home" or whatever it's called.

Looking up and fast forwarding really works! Great fun! But sometimes I take falling damage
bumping over the waves!

Thanks, Tarweed.

Well, the ship does allow you to go faster than swimming using the shift key. And, who wants to fight every stupid shark that gets in the way while swimming?

You don't need to be on the dock to re-enter Brimloch Roon! Just click on the gates!
I found this out quite by accident when I clicked on them in my 7th or 8th attempt to jump from the boat onto the dock!

Good one Princess - I wish I had of thought of that . Instead I struggled, clambered, always getting out of the water eventually before clicking on the gate DOH, DOH, DOH.

I was very grateful for that accidental find!
I felt real silly after so many attempts to jump from the boat, only to thwap off the edge of the dock, fall into the water and get bitten by sharks or pinched by crabs!
