G'day all

Know what I just saw on the news? Apparently if Bill Gates were to pile all the money he had under his matress (of his bed) it would take him 18 minutes to hit the floor if he fell off.

Thats impressive and all but what I find weird is that people are actually payed to calculate that... I mean what factors do they have to take into account "What size matress are we talkin' about here, how heavy is he, is he wearing clothes?"

Anywho hello.

Sigmar, those people are probably paid by Bill Gates to work these things out so that he can feel good about himself. Plus, how would they keep the money under the mattress? Believe me, it has a tendancy to slide into a disorganised pile when stacked...anywho, hello

Me too...Sigmar, did you ever read Terry Pratchett? One of his characters as a duck on his head and refuses to acknowledge it...they call him duckman and say that he would otherwise be considered sane

Sigmar, all objects fall at the same rate, unless air resistance is a factor. Galileo proved it by dropping objects off the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And, no, neither was I there nor was I around to be invited.

Not true that, you could exchange it for gold bullion
Actually, Attalus is right (well, duh )-the only reason a feather falls slower than a hammer is because of surface area. if both were dropped on the moon they'd hit the ground at the same time.

Gold bullion? Pffft, I keep my small fortune locked away...actually it isn't so much small as a fortune...
ZOT!
