Re: The Live Elections (Yet another thread on it...)
CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network? I thought it was CBS!) is currently saying Obama 175, McCain 52. ABC says Obama 195, McCain 76. Fox News won't claim anything for anyone, but they've got a really cool interactive election results display... goes down to the county level
The real CBS says Obama 194, McCain 124. NBC says the same as ABC, 195/76. CNN says 174/69. Pick your results... any results...

It'll take some time, I think before numbers start to balance out. As far as electoral votes go, Obama has a significant lead, regardless whose map you're looking at.
Popular vote has Obama ahead by around 400k votes, but when you're talking into that upper 10-100 millions, that's small change. Percentage I'm looking at on the map reads 49% - 50% favoring Obama. regardless of electoral votes, I don't call it a landslide unless you can put a significant distance with the popular vote. Still a win is a win.

I'm seeing 200 - 124. Obama won the second he got Ohio/New Mexico.

Re: The Live Elections (Yet another thread on it...)
I'm seeing 200-90 atm.
We get the NBC stuff over here in England. But they are saying he will finish up a considerable margin ahead! Was S.Virginia won yet? I really waned to see Obama win that British TV are saying its not out of the question for it to Obama to end up with over 400 of the electoral votes, which they are calling a landslide. If it happens, they just saying its possible as it stands based on what states are left. But they are chit chatting atm, so can't actually see what states were announced while i was watching Colour of Magic.

Re: The Live Elections (Yet another thread on it...)
Remember.... popular vote doesn't mean anything. The popular vote winner has lost before... more than once.
It ain't over until the fat lady sings.... but unless McCain somehow steals California, it's over. And that ain't gonna happen... That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it

There is no South Virginia. West Virginia was won by McCain 55-44%.

I meant west Really wanted Obama to win that. Now saying 200-129 here. With Texas going to Mcain. No shock there. The south seems very red again. Although New Mexico was expected to go to Mcain right? Now I want Arizon to go to Obama, just as its Mcains home state. Obama wil get California, so even if Mcain takes a load more states, he's still got it. He needs lIke California + oregan + 1 other or something. One thing I would say is it loosk unfair (i know its not) as Mcain has just as many states as Obama virtually, but because of population density int he NE, he's still miles ahead lol. It's misleading.

Re: The Live Elections (Yet another thread on it...)
I just got home from helping record the tallies in my county in North Carolina. McCain won our county, but the news I heard at the courthouse was that Obama actually won the state.
I'm following the AP interactive map and it isn't showing NC for either candidate yet.
