hmmm So we can pull out of the ICC? Can Yugoslavia pull out of the ICC? They want to, why can`t they? They are as soveriegn as America is. [/QUOTE]Er, no Yugoslavia isn't as sovereign as America, actually. That's because it no longer exists, and hasn't done for quite some while. It's split into Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro.

PS. Milosovich is a Serb, in case anyone's even vaguely interested.

Good lord, what on earth is the point of an international agreement that is not binding on its signatory members? If countries can pull out willy nilly when they hit a snag they don't like, then the whole thing wouldn't last 5 minutes. That was the whole point of the exhaustive process that was gone through prior to finalisation and ratification of the court, which took four years, I believe. American legals were involved throughout.

Ok then - I was talking about the region. Serbian leaders have recently expressed their wish to try Milosovic in Serbia, under Serbian law. I do not see it happening...

What's happening in the Hague at present is kind of a forerunner of that, isn't it? I'm not majorly clear on this - can anyone enlighten me? DeSoya, do you know?
