problem

i recently put my saved game files onto disk so could just put them back into the game (i had to do this because i rebooted my pc)i did this by putting my saved games back into mpsave ever since i did this my game keeps coming up with an assertion problem (this means that i have to close the game to stop the problem)could anyone explain why it does this or how i could repair the problem also andrewas i know what i have typed is over 4 lines long but i had to write this to explain the problem
as a general could anyone tell me how to make donations into the temple(i mean the temples in iwd not temple of heat like heat miser thought i did)

I dont have a problem with posts over four lines long - just sentences over four lines long. Ah, just forget it. I can live with it.

OK, lets see:

Save games should be working fine from what your posted. Try starting a new game, if that crashes as well then it the game itself that is broken and you should re-install and get the patches installed. Alternatively its not unknown for people re-isntalling the OS to forget the drivers, so double check them all. Go to the manufacturers websites and get the most recent drivers, then go to www.glsetup.com for opengl drivers.

Temple donations has come up here before, apparently this feature isnt in IWD at all. I cant say for sure cos im playing a good party led by a paladin and havent actualy been into a temple since I finaly got hold of "raise dead". Ill check next time im back in kuldahar. This could be some time cos im currently stuck in ToL. No temples there.

Andrewas is right. Temple donations are NOT active. I don't know what I as thinking of. lol The only way to avoid having a paladin reach fallen status then is to make SURE that no innocents are killed. There is no other way to avoid it.

thank you for replying to my post but the problem is that i dont seem to be any closer to finding anything out about my assertion problem so could some who knows about iwd problems please either tell me how to overcome the problem or what actions i could take

Ok, post what system your running and what patches you have installed. ALso check www.bioware.com and check out the known problems page. There might be a specific patch for this problem.

Did you check if you got the same problem with a new game - if you dont then its corrupted saves and nothing much can be done. 99% sure it wont be though.

Im assuming youve gone and got recent drivers for all your hardware and got opengl drivers from www.glsetup.com.
