• What kind of character are you playing?
 • What is your primary weapon?

I personaly like two-bladed weapons, but if your going to go a non-double edged weapon i suggest a dagger or short sword since you get a larger attack penality if the weapon size is listed as bigger than small.

I think I am missing something here. Can you have a sword, shield and dagger? I thought you could either have two weapons or a weapon and shield. Or are you saying you normally use a sword and shield and want a good weapon to use instead of the sword like a morningstar that gives you bludgeoning damage in case you are fighting things that do not take much damage from slashing or piercing damage?

Yes, Granamere is on the point, I want to have some alternative to my greataxe for my Dwarven Barb/Fighter.
I heard some monsters are immune to the slashing of my greataxe, som what shoud I use instead when facing them. Maybe Ill have a shield too, maybe a two handed but not double...my dex is too bad!

A blunt weapon would be nice, although there aren't that many good ones around. A mace of disruption really helps when fighting undead, so I'd probably go for that one. Items with stun/daze effects can be quite useful as well.

If they do not get back up again and you are still standing it is a good weapon. Sorry I had to say that. I have been carring several different weapons around. Basically one of each type I can use. OK yes I am a pack rat in real life and in the game. I keep the spares in my bag of holding and use the quick slots to get to them as needed. I just wish the item leaving my hand would go back into the bag where what I now am holding came from.

My fighter is specialized to the maximum in greatswords and has NEVER needed any other weapon type. Some mobs are immune to ALL physical damage, means that no mace or swords or spear will help you (i.e. wargolems), but they are suspectible to elemental damage, so any weapon with elemental damage works. Also, some items/mobs have good damage resistance and at times you might get the message, that you cannot damage/hurt with the given weapon. Activate then the Power Attack more (or Improved Power Attack mode, as I do heh) and hit them again. In many cases it works well then.

Very Dwarf-like, and it deals blunt damage. Good choice..
