I'm a real commit-o-phobe, and I think that's the reason why I keeep coming back online. The relationships you establish don't require nearly as much commitment as the ones you make in real life. I still like socialising in real life, but I just tend to have these bouts of pure selfishness which lend me little patience for the people I'm hanging out with sometimes... I still don't know why. When you're online, you can just logoff whenever you want, I like that freedom.
However, only a few nights ago I realised just how alone I'm going to end up if I continue down this self-indulgent path...
Whoah that sounds scarily familiar! I'm finding recently that I have less patience for people in real life too If they disagree with me or act according to different morals and principles I automatically find myself disliking them slightly. This comes from having stronger and more informed opinions about things than I did when I was younger..unfortunately this also brings less tolerance for opposing views. Nowadays I just try to fill my spare time up with as much sport as possible so I don't have to think too much about what I do and who I hang out with: this is set by who else is in the sport club

It's not all black and white. As you see many people feel themselves acting different on here. You don't have to be actively pretending to be someone you're not - it just happens due to the anonymity and different medium.

Damn straight!! God I hate Wasps! Filthy, hairy, stingy, aggressive, try-to-steal-all-my-food-when-I'm-eating-outdoors, ugly, commie bastards!!! Find their nests and posion them all! No mercy for the winged thieves in black and yellow!
GAH! Wasps are created - no, make that built - solely for the purpose of spreading terror and pain! The wasp chassis includes:

- hard chitinious armour
- a powerful and seemingly endless sting
- the ability to enter 'wasp speed' (you know when they seem to disappear and reappear a short distance away?)

and not an inch of cheerful fur on their bodies. I hate hornets, too, if only because a hornet doesn't need a swarm of buddies to be able to kill you.

I think I'm a bit more sane and less angry here.

doesn't sound strange to me.

In real life I'm a lot more abusive to people since there aren't any moderators around to hold me back

I don't try to make friends and simply act as myself and say what I think. I don't like being the center of attention, I prefer listening and adding my opinion every one in a while, but when someone push one of my buttons, I go on a rant.

I also don't like to socialise, I'm not interested in knowing what you ate yesterday, what your neighboor told his wife, or what your best friend is going to wear today. I also don't care about your car. I'd rather have a meaningfull discussion. Religions, politics, phylosophy, literature, video games, movies, those are things I like.

I'm verious curious and like to give advices, I'm a very good confident.

I think I act the same way on the net.

Heh, I feel like I'm writing an add for one of those online dating service. Single people only please...
hmmm...this makes me wonder if i really am a scizhophrenic(sp?), cause that sounds just like me!(damn that, errr...other dude in me! giving out information of me without my permission! ) Just like you, i dont like to socialise. or im terrible in the arts of speechcraft, if you prefer . I really prefer to study the people around me, figure out how they think and what kind of people they are. usually by the time im ready to converse, the people are gone. i think people also get a little disturbed when i study them and their friends, though i try to hide it by looking away...I cant say i like to talk about religion and stuff, when i do talk, its usually something sligthly intelligent, at least(like how much pie i ate last weekend or what my socks smelled like after gym class yesterday ). that second statement is, almost to a frightening degree, exactly like me. well, its nice to know there are others who think like me...

edit: oh yeah, almost forgot. yes, i suppose i am quite different when online then when im offline. Is that a good thing or not, you ask? who knows...
