Lair of the Lich

O.k, i just slayed the lich(the one in the undead cavern next to the monastery), thinking that he had the key to some door in his lair. Aperently he hadnt but now he is dead and i dont know how to open the door.
I tried turning the table(even though i already dissabled all the traps manually). But every time i use the last one i get flooded by an infinite number of slimes. Any suggestions?

I've been told that the last locked door that you are referring to plays a role later in the game. I had heard before that...

That door is one way into Balthazaar's Monastery later in the game. I believe that it opens for you after you destroy the 2 enclaves.

Regarding the slimes, use fire-based attacks to kill them... or else... they will just split into two, then four, then eight, ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

You can read about them in Elminster's journals in Watcher's Keep.
