Actually, Night Stalker, my statement was fact not opinion.
First lesson from the Income Tax textbook (which I still have at in my home office) is that there are two well-documented and oft-discussed reasons for the Tax Code: 1. Raise Revenue 2. Influence public policy and behavior The example I cited was real, not hypothetical, and since congress tapes and produces paper versions of all its on-floor debates, it's not hard to find lots of text regarding such public policy. I'll give you another example: business expenditure deduction. Theory? Spending to run a business is good for the marketplace. Small businesses are very American and good for the marketplace. Fact, not theory. Oh, and I once had a military officer tell me he couldn't get a stack of forms he needed because he didn't have the proper requisition form for more forms. :laughingsaywhat: Is this true??? LLAO |

AHHH
the great american hate of taxes. It's all about attitude, think about all the wonderfull things your taxes pay for, Think about how much you have contributed to your nation being the uber country of the local star system. Or just think about the wage after tax and NEVER look at your wage before tax it only makes you angry! see it dont hurt as much now does it? Does it?

Wassup everyone!!Well I did it.I asked her out.Wahoo. She says that she does'nt know and she will think about it. I hope she says yes. It won't bother me if she says no. You know...I think it helps when you got someone saying:"If you don't do it now, you'll beat yourself up later for not doing it."-Calaethis Dragonsbane.

Hi, all. My monitor took a dive today, so I went out and bought Galadria's dream flat-screen monitor. Really a lot brighter.
