Hi All,
I've played through the game once with a 16MB Banshee Vid Card and though I did experience crashes to the desktop at first, the longer I played, the less frequently it happened. When I started my 2nd time through, it started to crash, but now it isn't crashing at all. I doubt the card is the problem, but I have no answers. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents on the Banshee card. Well, what can I say - thanks guys for your 2 cents apiece - 18 cents in total
I've tried a few other fixes, but to no avail. The sad news is that I decided to cut my losses and get a refund, because it always seems that the more you tamper with drivers, the greater the risk things will go wrong somewhere else. Besides, HOW will be out in the UK in a couple of weeks and that should see me through until NWN lands from the heavens. Who knows, maybe I'll get to play it once I've upgraded and the price bottoms out - retro gaming, I'm sure w&w will be a classic once all the bugs are fixed. Thanks again for all the advice and the suggestions. |
