HoW spells

ok, i must be a total putz cuz i can't seem to find the cool new spells in HoW like "soul eater." in fact, i think there's a piece of HoW i've missed somewhere along the line?
first of all: can you do anything about the "white wolf" that attacked the ranger and later kills a trapper? I hear there is some sort of tower somewhere? perhaps that has the spells i'm looing for?
i'm not a TOTAL ptuz cuz i did find the shops in Lonlywood (including the one at the tavern), but i can't help feeling i've missed some other areas and i'm too lazy to cheat.

Leafy, I did get soul eater but not by buying it. If I remember correctly I found that spell. I just finished HoW and I could answer your questions but that would mean spoilers. Let me say this: Explore everywhere and question people, i.e. [Spoiler],

Hmmm, did you search the entire Inn? Did you talk to Kiernan afterwards? Everytime you return to Lonelywood after a chapter event pay attention to the goings on of the 3 trapper brothers by the conversations of the Inn patrons. Talk to the towns folks and maybe the Ranger??? And Kiernan??? More than once?

The tower is on Burial Isle on the southwest part. Theres an old wizard that sells spells and a few items.
