it was started by someone called Noel in the 1800...he wanted to make words easier to spell, so he introduced simplified spelling. it stuck on in the states, but not here.

English is the most commonly used language in many countries, and the American way of spelling words is just simpler, because ... I don't know why... One of my favorites tho, is "gaol" (jail for those of you who've never seen it spelt the CORRECT way).

There used to be a thing called the Great British Empire, which spanned half the globe (proving our greatness) but then it collapsed because we couldn't handle it all, lol. We also used to own a fair chunk of America...

Also, I think joining Europe fully would be unpopular, considering the amount of Scots who want to be split from England...if we can't keep our kingdom together, how are we gonna manage in Europe?
