Getting Print-Screen to Work

How do you get Print-Screen to work? I'm trying to get a screen capture of my Norton Internet Security "About" screen for a rebate opportunity, but pressing the PrtScn (Print Screen) key does nothing, nor does hitting it with CONTROL, ALT or TAB! I have a Microsoft keyboard, and Win XP Home.

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Do you mean it doesn't print? Have you tried pasting in paint or any other drawing program

Yeah, printscreen has nothing (or little) to do with your printer! It is a function that captures your current screen and copies it to the memory. You can then proceed to 'paste' it in any graphical editing program!

Easy...

1. Hit the "print Screen" key.

2. Open Ms Paint.

3. Hit "Ctrl"+"V" (paste) simultaneously.

4. Save the image as *.jpg or *.bmp

Windows XP has introduced a new format which paint can write to *.PNG it is a great format, although larger than a jpg it has the quality of a bitmap it is great especially if there are few colours in the image such as that of a screen capture. Not really relevant just thought i'd add it.
