You know you've been playing Baldur's Gate too long when...

- You think about party formation when out with your friends.
- You can't sleep unless you see the 'rest' cutscene before you go to bed.
- You never bathe or change clothes - unless you find a suit with a higher AC bonus.
- You refer to that sharp potato peeler in the kitchen drawer as the 'potato peeler +1'.
- The sight of a Diablo player gives you 'large combat bonuses and immunity to most mind-affecting spells' (i.e. BEZERK!).
- You refer to going to the toilet as 'hitting the pause button'.
- You don't reply to anyone until you have thought of four possible answers to give them.
- You wonder why your backpack can't hold 16 long swords.
- You find yourself humming appropriate background music during the day.
- You have several bruises thanks to the unwilling recipients of your 'laying on hands' attempts.
- You call your girlfriend 'Jaheira' by mistake - several times.

I'm guilty of at least two of these.

When you dream and people have coloured in circles under 'em

When you are walking on the carpet, there is another colour of carpet and you think to yourself 'found trap'

When you see a mouse at work and smile and call it Boo.

When you go to the Grocery Store and feel the need to scan everything Identify it.

When you scan everything and you are said it doesn't have any pluses.

When you start talking about your Vorpal Belt of Comliness and don't understand why no one else thinks it is funny.

When you go to a bar and are confused because the bartender didn't know ANYTHING about the Cowled Wizards.

When most of your free time is consumed by talking about RPGs on the web . . . wait a minute . . .

When ever you leave your house, work and any other important locations you here "You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth".

You throw a spider statue at the floor hopeing it will change into a giant spider.

You walk for 20 hours to some place when you could have caught the bus.

Just tried:

"404 ERROR - Can't find the page you Requested!

The web page you are trying to access doesn't exist on
The Great Escape Studios or Ironworks Gaming or has been renamed, moved or deleted."

I think I've got it sorted now

Actually, here are the stats for my potato peeler:

Ambidextrous Dagger of Peeling +1 (+2 vs fleshy tubers)

This rare enchanted item is believed to have been created by an little-known gnomish illusionist-chef who required a weapon suitable for use against the End of Season Turnips. No other weapon had proven able to pierce their tough armour, so the young mage enchanted a specially crafted knife. It is reputed that he wielded this weapon successfully for many years without ever sustaining the critical-miss thumb injuries typical of this type of weapon. Unfortunately the weapon was lost in the midst of a particularly hard battle, so the gnome resorted to an unenchanted blade, much larger than the one he was used to, resulting in the unfortunate loss of most of his right hand. The magical blade's whereabouts remain a mystery.

+1 to hit
+1 slicing damage
+2 vs. fleshy tubers and turnips
Well crafted grip prevents critical miss
Magical enhancement prevents weapon from breakage or rusting
Can be used in either hand
25 year RTB warranty
Proficiency: Daggers

Lol Black Knight!
Literally every time I see a rodent, the first thing in my mind is "Thats so cute! Hi Boo!"
And today there was a daddy long-legs in my shower and when I washed it away I said to myself, "die evil Sword Spider" 'cause it was all Crumpled up onto itself.
To add to the thread:
You begin to think what spell would be useful in what situation
When you have a bad day you toy with the idea of spinning twin scimitars and slicing up your foes
You compare teachers to grumpy dragons like Firkraag
You wish you could Dimension Door to school without having to walk
You begin to dream about someone stalking and hunting you. Not Nightmares, but dreams where theres someone hunting you. Just like in a game. I'm guilty of this especially since I've been rereading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time and my imagination has been running wild.

Why?

You know you've played too many RPG's when......

You try casting Cone of Silence on your blithering boss
You see someone being clumsy and say, "Looks like you missed your dex roll"
You switch from sneakers to boots for the better AC
You refer to your garage door opener as a Wand of Opening
You feel naked without a sword, backpack and armor
You can have a conversation with a fellow gamer that no-one else understands... even after hours of explanation.
