Going into this movie I was torn, I loved Saw but naturally hate most sequals. I am pleased to say that while it was not as good as the original it is still a good watch. Opinions?

I saw it. Before the last few minutes, I lost expectations because, although it kept Jigsaw's original intentions, there was no suspense left. I mean, they already gave away who Jigsaw was. Then at the end I was completely aghast. They managed to completely lead me away fromthe possibility that there would be a surprise and then amaze me. Just like the first one.

At times it does seem a bit like that but generally it just kicks ass. If you liked the original, definatly see number 2.

Saw2 was better. Saw1 had plot holes and inconsistencies. It was just too unbelievable that everything would come together like it did in Saw1. In Saw2, the plot was tighter. And you still got surprised in the end.
Saw1 also seemed completely unfair in that there was really NO way out for the prisoners. In Saw2, all he had to do was follow the rules. He was buried in a hole he dug for himself. Saw1 also had the stupidity to ask me to believe that he was in the room the whole time, not moving or anything. Horsepuckey, I don't buy it. Saw2 had only one point that irritated me, and that was with the girl who got 1 hand trapped in the glass gizmo, then stuck the other one in. I'm not believing anyone is that dumb. For gross factor, though, Saw1 wins. If that's what you like. It's not what I like. [ 12-27-2005, 10:27 AM: Message edited by: Timber Loftis ] |
