Ok, finally got NWN! Yay!
Love the game, though I do have one problem. The game is running really slow! It takes a couple of seconds before I my Ranger does what he is commanded to do. So, it's pretty slow!
I have a 64meg Videocard, 966MHz prossesor and 128 RAM. Any suggestions?

Cut down on some of the visual settings to see if that speeds it up. Incidently if your running a VIA chipset under Windows XP, windows won't install the AGP Texture Acceleration by default. Download the Via 4 in 1 drivers, unzip it to a folder and run setup under win2000 compatibility. You can't just run the file you download, though, you have to extract the contents first for it to work properly. This worked for me really well.

you wouldn't happen to be running windows XP or 2000 would you? in that case (or even with windows 98/ME actually) 128MB of ram are not really enough for a game like NWN.
also, the 64 MB graphics isn't saying much. that could be either the high-end gf4 ti4200 or the aging gf2 mx400, or even the outdated voodoo5.
another thing that comes to mind - maybe, just maybe, you might be running on a via apollo pro 133 chipset (note the apollo pro 133A is a totally different story), which is, plainly put, crap, and certainly can't handle the modern games.
a very general advice would be to just turn the details and resolution all the way down and see if that helps.
and also the obvious - be sure to update ALL relevant drivers for your system - graphics, sound, motherboard...

The 128mb ram doesn't sound too good. Upgrading to 256mb should run fine, but I would suggest going to 512mb if you can afford it.

Hell I've only got a 700 mhz compaq with 256 k and a 32 meg video and it runs fine! The video I just added its a cheepie nvidia mx2oo.Less than 50 bucks!Just finished the game this morning and may either start a new charactor or try Morrowind. Now that one runs a little slow but still works!

If you have WinXP the 128MB of RAM is definitely not enough. I had the same problem until I got more RAM. Another 128 should be OK and will let you run the game without a problem. Also, if your video drivers aren't updated, update them with the latest ones from your manufacturer's website.

Hmm, ok. So getting more RAM should fix it, even on WinME?

Thanks for all the replies, guys!
