OK...at risk of sounding like an idiot. I have played through the game ) or at least I thought I did)one and a half times. Who the heck is tiax and where do I meet him??

Actually, he's a Cleric/Thief. The Cleric/Illusionist is Quayle. They're both Gnomes, and they're both in Chapter 5, so they're easy to mix up.

Yeah, he's evil. Chaotic Evil, I believe, while Quayle is Chaotic Neutral.

I personally think Tiax has about the same amount of style as Minsc. On one hand, you've got "When Tiax rules, britches will not ride up so wedge-like!" And on the other hand, you've got "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, watch it! I'm HUGE!"

I agree with six. Minsc really does rule. Also call me crazy, but I made it through quite nicely with Branwen and Viconia. No need for no egocentric gnome in my party.
