Sorry, guys, I beg to differ. I found BGI much flatter, and the characters MUCH more vivid in SoA. I mean, what do you know about Kivan? Except that he's surly. Minsc is just a loon in BGI, but actually touching in BGII-SoA. We won't even talk about Imoen. And the villains! I mean, Sarevok is trying to kill me, ho hum, so's everybody else. He even tries to join your party,in ToB, for crying out loud. Irenicus, on the other hand, is a guy I love to hate. I actually got furious to see him torturing Imoen. How's that for immersion? I really hope that in NWN, Irenicus doesn't pop up. asking to tag along. Oh, well...one player's opinion...

Hear hear! I agree whole heartedly Galadria! IMHO, I've not yet finished BG1, I think that Galadria is right. I mean, in Nashkel, where you meet Minsc. He becomes furious (and attacks you) if you talk to him and refuse to help him. What's the point in that? It's a free world, people have the right to say no. Now I think twice before addressing a person in BG1, because I fear I'll have to kill someone who might prove out to be important later on in the game..

BG2 is definitly more replayable, and it is better with more classes ect and you do tend to grow more attatched to it's characters, good point
