I think I chose the robe of the good archmagi because it gives a bonus to saving throws.
BTW - WHERE can I find mage clothes? I got Imoen now, but I dont know where to go to deck her out! |

In GB1 it was the Archmagi. You get saving throw-bonus, magic resistance and (I think) higher Armour Class

The robe of Vecna. 10% magic resistance, base AC set to 5 and best of all, casting times reduced by 4. Mmmmm. Nice.

But before you're going to ask what the heck FallenPaladin is talking about at the moment: the Robe of Vecna is an item which can only be bought from the Bonus CD Merchants, from the Bonus CD which came in a package if you ordered Baldur's Gate from the Internet. Normally I would refer to the BGDungeon site, where they had the file for download; but that one unfortunately disappeared . Perhaps at the official BG-site? Or at Baldurdash? Dunno, perhaps someone else has a better link [This message has been edited by Grojlach (edited 07-06-2001).] |

Hmm, I don't think you can. Perhaps you find one in a killen enemy, but I don't remember any shop selling a robes apart from that in Trademeet.
And as for the original question, I'd guess the robe of the archmagi, but that's just because I remeber that all other robes weren't worth anything. If you want a good robe its either archmagi or Vecna IMO. |

Thanks, Imoen is currently wearing the robe of vecna (b/c she's my main mage), but aerie has a choice between the two (knave or archmagi). Thanks for the input.
