Is there any way a solo sorc can disable traps? Preferrably without cheating.

Also, does anyone remember the first opportunity to pick up a bag of holding in SoA?

I dont know of any way to disable traps with a sorc, just take them like a man [img]tongue.gif[/img] . The Asylum Maze has the only bag of holdings in SOA.

Get a familiar. Cast it from scroll of course. Anyone learning that spell with a sorceror is just going to be laughed at all day. And most of the night as well.

Which familiar you get depends on alignment, and not all familiars have theif skills. None of them will be able to handle the most difficult traps of course, but if your detecting them you can either avoid them or protect yourself.

Well if you have TOB installed you can buy a bag of holding on top of watcher's keep.

Just dont forget to keep it in your pack at all times, unless you have a job for it. If it dies, you lose a point of CON.

As for the familiar, my character is neutral evil and can only get a dust mephit which has no thief skills. I'll be buggered if i'm gonna summon some useless little prat to drain my CON. Any other ideas?

Once you have a BoH, you dont need inventory slots so having a familar give you a few extra HP for no real cost. Although if those HP are going to be critical for a solo sorc you arent using him right.

And use the bottomless BoH patch. A link would be nice but I dont have it.

Does anyone know how to switch around familiars? Do a search on it, I remember someone getting himself a Red Dragon for a familiar. It is of course cheating, but possible.
