OK, this may be a long shot, but here goes: those who are familiar with Akira Yamaoka, the composer of the silent hill soundtracks: what other artists/bands would you recommend? I'm not talking about the background sounds, but the composed works of him, like Laura's Theme, Overdose Delusion, Love Psalms etc. For those who do not know the works of Akira: its purely instrumental, with guitars, bass & lead, drums, and some other instruments. They play a very melodic symphony, like rock music that's nice to listen to. Maybe even the Matrix soundtracks, they come close too. I just can't seem to find any music which is conform my request. Every music store I enter only has Metallica, Sepultura, System of a Down etc. lying in the racks and the store clercs cant tell me anything except for latest spears releases Hell, I even like some Emerson, Lake & Palmer songs, so give me some tips!!
